The annual Pierce County Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration will begin Saturday, January 17, at Evergreen Church Ministries, 4100 Highway 32, Bristol. The Rev. Nathaniel Anderson is the pastor. Service will start at 5 p.m. We are inviting everyone to join us at this great celebration. The parade will be Monday, January 19. We are asking everyone to join us. The parade line-up will be at the Board of Education, located at 834 E. Main Street, Blackshear, and will begin at 9 a.m. We will be leaving at 10 a.m. Thank you in advance. The 50 States program this past weekend was successful fundraiser. We are still working on the building to make it a nice community center. It can be used for birthday parties, family reunions, and other meetings.
