Memorial Satilla Health has been recognized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) with a 5-Star Rating for Cleanliness. This top honor places Memorial Satilla among an elite group, as one of only eight hospitals in Georgia to achieve this rating.

“We are honored to receive this 5-Star Cleanliness Rating. This recognition isn’t about a single person or department. It’s a testament to the diligent, consistent hard work of our entire team — from our environmental services staff to our clinical professionals,” said Damon Barrett, CEO. “Maintaining an exceptional care environment is a foundational part of our commitment to safety and excellence, and we are truly proud that our patients feel that commitment when they are here.”

This latest recognition adds to a growing list of high marks for the Memorial Satilla.

CMS 5-Star Cleanliness: Based on patient surveys collected during 2023–2024, the rating was released August 6, and recognizes 386 hospitals nationwide for exceptional facility cleanliness.

Healthgrades 5-Star Ratings: Earlier this year, the hospital received two separate 5-Star ratings from Healthgrades for Pacemaker Procedures and Treatment of Hip Fractures.

These Healthgrades ratings signify that Memorial Satilla Health is among the top 10% in the nation for clinical excellence in these specific areas of care.

The CMS hospital ratings are compiled from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) patient survey database, reflecting the direct experience of patients.
