WAYCROSS — Mrs. Marilyn Ann Brackett, 81, passed away Wednesday morning, January 7, 2026, at her residence in Waycross following an extended illness.
She was born in Hazlehurst and had lived most of her life in Wayc ross. Mrs. Brackett was a daughter of the late Edison White and Eva Mae Williams White. She was a part owner of Rochelle’s Daycare in Waycross, which she operated alongside her sister for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rochelle Geiger and Cedus Lee, and one brother, Roger White.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon Brackett of Waycross; one daughter, Trina Jackson (Robert) of Blackshear; two grandchildren, Kaleb Collins and Shane Collins, both of Waycross; four sisters, Glenda McLemore of Fitzgerald, Phyllis Westberry of K’ville, Ga., Leasia Beall and Sherry Beck, both of Hazlehurst; one brother, Roy White of Fitzgerald; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held January 10 at Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Hazlehurst.
