Hancock
WAYCROSS — Robert Lamar Hancock, 70, died Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health.
Hancock was born February 8, 1955, in Albany, Ga., to the late Frederick Lamar Hancock and Evelyn Wedell Williamson Hancock.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a correctional officer at the Ware State Prison. He loved to fish, deer hunt, and go motorcycle riding.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne Chastain.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Hancock of Waycross; three children, Jessica Cason, Crystal Hancock, and Hannah Hancock (fiancé Kevin Hodges) all of Waycross; 11 grandchildren; and two siblings Jerry Hancock (Donna) and Dale Hancock, all of Waycross.
A memorial service was held December 2 at Eagle's Flight Ministries.
