A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Georgia Film Works asking about the town of Zirkle.
I may not know a whole lot, but I do know since 2007 I have visited and taken many pictures of Zirkle. It has been one, if not one of my favorite places to photograph on the Little Satilla River for a number of reasons.
I love the rugged and raggedness of the old steel dam that has been in place since 1918. I can only imagine what it was like to have lived in this town of around 300 peo-ple about 100 years ago.
