Pierce Junior Beta students compete in Savannah

Sixty-five Junior Beta Club members from Pierce County Middle School (PCMS) competed at the State Convention in Savannah over the December 4-6 weekend.

Five PCMS students placed in the top 5 on academic tests in a variety of subjects, including science, ELA, history and computer science. Two students placed in visual arts and the Pierce Jr. Beta engineering team also won third place.

Fourth place in Computer Science testing, Grade 6, Benson McDuffie
First place in Visual Arts (drawing) Grade 8, Rose Belmondo.
First place in Health and PE testing, Grade 6, Emma Sergent.
Fifth place in Visual Arts (sculpture), Grade 6, Levi Wasden.
Fourth place in Science testing, Grade 6, Cagen McKinney.
Fourth place in U.S. History testing, Grade 8, Hinson Hart
Third place in ELA testing, Grade 7, Barrett Reid.
