Pittman
WAYCROSS — Mr. Dennis Pittman, Sr., 77, died early Monday morning, December 22, 2025, at his residence after an extended illness.
Pittman was born September 6, 1948 in Ware County to the late J. M . Pittman and Melvi n a Roberson Pittman. He form erly managed his father’s roofing business, J.M. Pittman Roofing. Pittman was a member of Sweat Memorial Baptist Church where he and his wife sang in the choir.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Jerry Pittman.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Glenda Diane Thornton Pittman of Waycross; three sons, Dennis Pittman, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Jesup, Brad Elliott Pittman (Vickie) of Milan, and Ralph Alston Pittman of Waycross; grandchildren, Ciera Stalnaker, Bailey Pittman, Shayla Pittman, Ashlyn Pittman, and Aniston Pittman; great grandchildren, Kaedyn Johnson, Noah Johnson, Maddox Johnson, and Ava Johnson; brother, James Melvin Pittman of Fitzgerald, and Glyn Stanley Pittman of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Friday, December 26 at Sweat Memorial Baptist Church. Burial followed in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
