Ethan Sillas of Pierce County recently achieved two key milestones at Coastal Pines Technical College, Waycross campus.
Sillas graduated from the adult education program and also earned his Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification.
Forklift training is part of Coastal Pines Integrated Educational Training (IET) program which combines occupational training, specialized adult education instruction and workforce preparation skills to prepare students for career success.
Sillas earned his industry- recognized credentials through Coastal Pines’ Integrated Education Training (IET) program.
The November OSHA Forklift IET included focused adult education inled by Michael Deegan, workforce skills training by Stephanie Johnson from Truist Bank and occupational training delivered by Lacy Hines.
The IET training program offers credentials in different fields such as OSHA Forklift, Serv-Safe Food Safety and Nurse Aide.
