First Baptist Children present Christmas program ‘We Three Spies’

Listening and watching children sing and recite the triumphant coming of Christ is the way for all to celebrate the Savior’s birth. Joyful and dynamic applause rang out Sunday night for Blackshear First Baptist Church’s children as they performed a classified Christmas adventure “We Three Spies.’’

A capacity audience of proud parents, grandparents, greatgrandparents and friends shared the joyful presentation of children in the First Kids Choir and the Pre-School Kids Choir. The brilliant stage was perfectly set for the background as the young actors performed the exciting Christmas mission of “We Three Spies.”

Agents E, L and F were recruits with the CIK (Christmas Intelligence Kids), a covert group of spies who secretly bring Christmas to the needy. But this year they faced an especially difficult challenge in keeping Ms. Harriet (Alary Bedford) King, a Scrooge-like landlord, from evicting them from their headquarters, confiscating donations and canceling their Christmas Nativity Program. It took a little expert espionage and a lot of God’s unconditional love for Ms. King to change her tune as she finally joined the CIK and the entire town in a musical celebration of the true meaning of Jesus’ birth.
