City of Blackshear donates $1,500 to seniors

In plenty of time for Christmas, Blackshear Mayor Keith Brooks dropped off a $1,500 donation to the Pierce County Senior Site Council on behalf of the city. The official donation ceremony took place shortly after Brooks finished watching the outcome of a spirited game of beanbag baseball between two opposing teams of local seniors. This year’s donation was $500 more than last year and will go directly to supporting activities and events for Pierce seniors.
