BRUNSWICK – Joe Leroy Johnson, 63 of Brunswick, passed away Sunday morning, December 14, 2025.
Born in Jacksonville, Fla., Johnson’s parents were Melvin Leroy Johnson and Valenia Strickland Johnson. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Janet Johnson and Diana Freeman.
Johnson was a heavy equipment operator who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his pet goats and dogs.
Survivors include two brothers, Jacob Johnson of Brunswick and Jason Johnson of Darien; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Lewis (Doug) of Brunswick; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
