A Waycross man was injured when the vehicle he was driving was unable to navigate a curve on Central Avenue near Hagen Road in eastern Ware County, the Georgia State Patrol said.
Jason Heath Barker, 45 of a Waycross address, was westbound on Central Avenue in a 2003 Ford F250 at 7:02 p.m., Tuesday, December 16. The vehicle failed to maintain its lane and traveled across the center line as Barker tried negotiating a curve to the right.
Barker tried correcting the vehicle causing it to rotate counterclockwise while traveling off the north shoulder of Central. Barker then corrected back to the left as the vehicle began yawing (twist or oscillate about a vertical axis) to the left while rotating counterclockwise.
The 2003 Ford F250 overturned side over side, striking a light pole support guide wire. The vehicle, one came to a final uncontrolled stop on its driver’s side door at the area of impact.
Barker was transported to Memorial Health System. He has been charged with several violations.
