Dorothy Helen ‘Dot’ Fletcher

WAYCROSS — Mrs. Dorothy Helen “Dot” Fletcher, 92, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health following an extended illness.

She was born in Waycross to the late Earl Crosby and Lois Tatum Douglas.

Fletcher was a homemaker most of her life and a faithful member of Sweat Memorial Baptist Church. She was known for her generous and loving spirit, with a deep devotion to God, her husband, and her family. Mrs. Fletcher enjoyed cooking and gardening, and one of her favorite pastimes was making biscuits for those she loved.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles Crosby, and her sister, Virginia Boatwright.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Franklin “Dee” Fletcher of Waycross; three daughters, Robbie Medler (Woody) of Richmond Hill, Del Wilson (Michael) of Hoover, Ala., and Nancy Clemons (Scottie) of Waycross; eight grandchildren, Jamie Medler (Amanda), Fletcher Medler (fiance` Sofya Zeylikman), Matthew Wilson (Erica), Anna Kate Stephenson (Zeke), Noah Jackson (Kelli), Joshua Clemons (Delana), Cory Clemons (Amy), and Amanda Cardinal (Rory); 11 great grandchildren, Auggie Medler, Ellis Stephenson, Roby Stephenson, Izzy Clemons, Vann Clemons, C.J. Clemons, Mason Clemons, Logan Clemons, Madison Clemons, Harper Wilson, and George Cardinal; and numerous extended family members.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, December 23 at Sweat Memorial Baptist Church. A private burial followed at Greenlawn Cemetery.
