Dubberly
WAYCROSS — Mary Lou Sims Dubberly, 81, of Waycross died Friday morning, December 19, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health after an extended illness.
Mrs.
Dubberly was born in Pierce County to the late John Henry Sims and Martha Hutto Sims, and made Waycross her home for many years. She worked several years for Waycross Sportswear and retired from Made in America. She enjoyed a good fishing trip, tending her garden and was an avid University of Georgia football fan. Mrs. Dubberly was a member of Deenwood Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by three siblings, Tommy Sims, Edward Sims and Betty Hester.
Mrs. Dubberly is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jimmie Dubberly of Waycross; two sons, Glen Woodard and his wife, Velinda, of Waycross, John Oscar Woodard of Blackshear; four grandchildren, Jacob Woodard and his wife, Elyssa, of Waycross, Jordan Woodard of Waycross, and Blair Woodard and Scarlett Woodard both of Blackshear; two great grandchildren, Ella Woodard and Sophie Woodard; a sister, Shirley Cauthen (Michael) of Blackshear; four sistersin- law, Laverne Sims of Blackshear, Latrelle Dubberly of Waycross, Ann Dubberly and her husband, Harold, of Waycross, and Ann Thomas of Waycross; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service was held December 22 in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.
