Memorial Satilla Health CEO Damon Barrett spoke at last week’s club meeting, sharing news about the hospital’s recent quality awards and the benefits of having access to the resources of the hospital’s broader network of care, HCA Healthcare. Barrett commended two long-time club members, Dr. Don Waters and Dr. Brent Waters, for their critical work in advancing healthcare for the local community and growing the region’s hospital into the center of excellence it is today. Barrett joined Memorial Satilla in September after serving as chief operating officer at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. Barrett has been employed with HCA Healthcare for 11 years. Originally from Australia, Barrett and his wife, Megan, have relocated to Blackshear with their two children, Brinley and Miles. Both of their kids are students at Midway Elementary School.
