
Smith
MERSHON — Dobson Glenn Smith, 68, of Mershon died Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross after a short illness.
He was born in Douglas. Smith was a 1975 graduate of Ware County High School. H e worked for many years as a District Manager for Friendly Express, enjoyed making stained glass art, and was an avid animal lover.
Survivors include his husband, Jimmy Revels of Mershon; his parents, Foster and Betty Bagley Smith of Homerville; three sisters, Brenda Russell (Scott) of Waycross, Marie Wilson (Harris) of Argyle, and Amanda James (Derek) of Homerville; one brother, the Rev. Jamie Smith (Lisa) of Pearson; half sister, Marie Holder of Douglas; a niece who’s like a sister, Renee Coleman (Clint) of Waycross; sisterin- law, Sharon Bennett (Ashley) of Blackshear; brother-in-law, Andy Revels of Mershon; nieces and nephews, Mary Gail Twilley (Jamie) of Waycross, Kurt Russell (Allison) of Millwood, Dannon Pittman of Homerville, Betsy Davis (Cale) of Homerville, Avery James (Mollianna) of Homerville, Alex James (Summer) of Homerville, Jessica James of Homerville, Layne Harrell, Kristen Diakogiannis (Chad), Kiah McKinnon (Trent), Issy Burnham (Brent), and Chloe Odom all of Fitzgerald, Jordan Bennett (Rachel) of Blackshear, Josh Bennett (Ronnie) of Blackshear, Paige Tiner (Chance) of Mershon, and Walter Revels (Courtney) of Waycross; as well as several other great nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A memorial service was held December 12 at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.
