WAYCROSS — Mrs. Janice Elaine Guy Cribbs, 62, of Waycross died Monday evening, December 8, 2025, at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., after a sudden illness.

She was born in Waycross to Leroy and Macy Eaddy Guy and lived here all of her life. Mrs. Cribbs was a graduate of Vald osta State Univ ersity and Liberty University, and served as the Director of Human Resources at the Ware County Board of Education for many years. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Cribbs always enjoyed spending time with her family at the beach and riding bicycles.

Mrs. Cribbs was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Guy; two sisters, Joyce Hendrix and Debbie Sasser; and one brother, Robert Guy.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Darryl Cribbs of Waycross; two children, Jennifer Cribbs Cone (husband Brad) of Waycross, and James Darryl Cribbs (wife Tanjela) of Waycross; two grandchildren, Maicee Marsh and Jase Marsh; three step grandchildren, Leanna, Bradlee, and Hayleigh; three step great grandchildren, Saylor, Waylon, and Everly; her mother, Macy Eaddy Guy of Blackshear; one sister, Donna Hendrix (husband Alex) of Waycross; one brother, Tommy Guy (wife Patty) of Blackshear; mother-inlaw, Frances Cribbs of Waycross; sister-in-law, Darlene Cribbs of Waycross; her special dog, Yodie; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service was held December 11 at Kettle Creek Southern Congregational Methodist Church. A private family burial was December 12 at Kettle Creek Cemetery.
