WAYCROSS — Mrs. Alvina Pittman Music, 84, passed away Wednesday morning, December 10, 2025, at Baptist Village Retirement Communities after an extended illness.
She was born April 18, 1941, in Ware County to the late James Pittman and Edna Oliver Pittman.
Mrs.
Pittman graduated from Ware County High School and was a devoted member of Liberty Christian Church. In 2015, she retired from the Ware County Bus Transportation Department.
A dedicated and loving homemaker for most of her life, she enjoyed music, singing, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband, William Hampton Music.
Survivors include her daughters, Malinda Corbitt (Herman) of Waycross, Lori Brazel (Johnny) of Blackshear, and Karen Sanders (Jimmy) of Dayton, Ohio; her son, Keith Music (Patricia) of Waycross; grandchildren, Will Corbitt (Amy), John Brazel (Jamie), Amy Brazel, Shane Music (Ashley), Ashley Music (Britini), Kelly Beavers (Ronald), and Logan Sanders (Lucas); great grandchildren, Hunter (Faith), Julia, Jaina, Addison, Roper, Baylee, Haylee, Harper, Liam, Coy, and Emma; great-great grandchild, Jayci; siblings, Betty King, Wanda Lee, and Dean Corbitt, all of Waycross, and Alene Wingo of Tampa, Fla.; bonus daughter, Belinda Gilliard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Saturday, December 13 at Liberty Christian Church. Burial followed in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
Members of the Ware County Bus Transportation Department served as honorary pallbearers.
