Ware County stretched its winning streak to four games with a pair of lopsided home wins.
The Gators (4-1) notched a third straight win Tuesday, December 9 handing visiting Appling County (1-3) a second straight setback with a 79-35 decision.
Ware County dominated visiting Groves (3-5) of Savannah Saturday, December 13 winning 75-43 to hand the Rebels a fifth consecutive loss. Officials halted the game with :03.5 remaining due to unsporstmanlike actions by the visitors.
The Gators play twice this week. They hosted Valdosta Tuesday, December 16 and travel Saturday, December 20 to Glynn Academy.
Richmond Hill visits Monday, December 22 to close out the pre-Christmas schedule. Ware County will participate in the Brunswick Christmas tournament.
The Gators play Saturday, December 27 against Hilton Head Island tipping at 1 p.m. They face McIntosh County Academy Monday, December 29 (TBA) and wrap up tournament action Tuesday, December 30 squaring off with tournament host Brunswick at 8:30 p.m.

Masyier McCoy led the Gators in his first action of the season finishing with 12 points (two treys). Tayshaun Franklin and Isaiah White (two treys) followed with 11 points and 10 points respectively.
Davion Jones bagged eight points. Ja’Londi O’Hara, Kevin Ramsey and Dallas Vinson followed with seven points apiece. Travis Story and Elan Jones each contributed six points. R.J. Munford and Charles Huff netted three points and two points respectively.
Ware County raced out to a 22-5 first quarter lead behind the seven points of both White and O’Hara. The Gators outscored Appling County 23-15 in the second stanza with Jones and McKoy each scoring six points in building a comfortable 45-20 lead by intermission.
Five players contributed in a 19-7 third quarter scoring advantage helping Ware County to a 64-27 lead. Vinson, Munford and McCoy combined for all the points in the “mercy rule” fourth quarter as the Gators posted a 15-8 scoring advantage.
The Gators connected on 17-of-25 (68 percent) free throws making 13 more than Appling County.
The Pirates were paced by the 14 points of Aldarius Howell.

Jones led a trio of double- figure scorers finishing with a game-high 18 points. Franklin and McKoy netted 10 points apiece.
Jones and O’Hara finished with nine points and eight points respectively. Munford and Story each contributed four points.
Luke Hinley bagged a three-pointer with White, Ramsey and Vinson chipping in two points apiece. Jimmy Green added a free throw.
Ware County pulled away from an 8-6 lead scoring the final nine points of the opening period for a 17-6 advantage. The Gators continued to widen the margin outscoring Groves 23-11 in the second quarter building a comfortable 40-17 halftime cushion.
Ware County used a second straight 23-11 scoring advantage during the third stanza to increase its lead to 63-28. Groves outpointed the Gators 15-12 in the “mercy rule” final period before play was halted.
The Rebels were led by Kavalee Godboltee’s 13 points. Kaleb Detty netted 10 points.
