BRANTLEY COUNTY — Travis Gene Guy, 70, died peacefully early Wednesday morning, December 10, 2025 at Hospice House Satilla following a brief illness.
Guy was a native and life-long resident of Brantley County. He was a 1974 graduate of Brantley County High School.
Guy was the son of the late Rev. Marvin Guy and Berniece Duncan Guy. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Tony Wesley Guy, Sr., a niece and two nephews.
Guy retired in 2019 from Nutrien Ag Solutions, formerly Gold Kist and Southern States, with a total of 40 years of service.
He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Hoboken and was formerly a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in his younger years.
Survivors include two daughters, Valerie K. of Germany and Shauna T. (husband Ethan) of Florida; one granddaughter, two grandsons, one great granddaughter and one great grandson; two sisters, Mary Ann Anderson (husband Wayne) and Bea Davis both of Waycross; three brothers, Billy Guy (wife Brenda) of Adairsville, Ga., Rev.
Guy
James Guy (wife Sandra) of Dallas, Ga., and Rev. Johnny Guy (wife Brenda) of Homerville; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers the family requests individuals plant a tree in Guy’s memory.
A memorial service was held Saturday, December 13, 2025 in the Music Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements were with Music Funeral Home.
