Cheryl Ann Holmes Lott, 74, of Blackshear, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025.
Born November 11, 1951, in Blackshear, she was a lifelong resident of the community. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida L. Holmes.
She was a graduate of Lee Street High School (Class of 1969) and South Georgia College, where she earned an associate degree. She later obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Edward Waters College. Her professional career included service as a secretary with Blackshear High School, the Waycross Board of Education, and GLRS, before retiring after 21 years with Southeast Georgia Rehabilitation, where she taught pre-employment skills to students with special needs.
She was a faithful member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church and served in numerous capacities until her health declined.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Thomas J. Lott Sr.; her son, Kenric Lott; her daughter, Kizzie Lott; five bonus children; one grandson, Tristan Lott and a host of bonus grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Homegoing services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 20, from the Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Blackshear.
Interment followed in the Shiloh Cemetery in Blackshear.
Though she has completed her earthly journey, her faith, love, and legacy live on said her family.
