To our community: We are on the count down and as of today, it is only 15 days before Christmas Day. It’s a very busy time of the year preparing for Christmas. It is the most joyful day. Family shares in love, giving gifts and best foods that we can prepare and having our family dinner, telling old stories about how Christmas was and how it is today. I’m excited for the season. ***** Reason to celebrate: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Matthew 1: 21 ***** Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will be celebrating the church’s 144th church anniversary. The anniversary will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11 with our speaker, Pastor Nathaniel Anderson of Evergreen Church. Services continue at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12 with Pastor Terrence Lattimore of Judah Family Worship Center. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14. The morning speaker will be Pastor Arroyo Fernando of Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. At the 3 p.m. service, the guest speaker will be Pastor Marcus Nix of Macedonia Baptist Church in Patterson. The church is located at 3572 Pine Road, Mershon. Elder Royce Broady, pastor. Come join us in worship. ***** Our community Christmas Day Service will be December 25, at 11 a.m. at Alpha and Omega Holiness Church, 337 Watson Street, Blackshear. Bishop Willie Carr is the pastor. Come let us worship Him together. ***** Everyone is invited to worship with us at Faith Temple Holiness Church Inc, 218 Hall Street, Blackshear. Services as follows: 1st Sunday early service is at 8:30. Breakfast will be served. Services will be every Sunday 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sunday.
