Food for family distributed through eight counties by Unison and Ware County Children’s Initiative

Unison Behavioral Health and Ware Children’s Initiative recently partnered to distribute approximately 5,000 pounds of food across eight counties, including Pierce County.

Susan Haddock, Executive Director of the Ware Children’s Initiative, coordinated with Unison to distribute 5,000 pounds of food to individuals and families served by Unison. When concerns arose about food access for Unison clients, Haddock stepped in without hesitation to coordinate a generous donation which ensured no one was left behind.

Because of Haddock’s firm commitment to community wellbeing, food was delivered across all eight counties in Unison’s service area: Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Charlton, Clinch, Coffee, Pierce and Ware.

“Her leadership and compassion made a meaningful impact, and we are deeply grateful for her partnership,” said Unison Executive Assistant Emily Sirmons.

Unison also extended appreciation to their dedicated staff and community volunteers who worked tirelessly to sort, pack, and distribute every pound of food. “This collaboration reflects the power of local partnerships to meet urgent needs and uplift entire communities,” said Sirmons.
