PCMS swim team participates in Baxley

BAXLEY — Pierce County Middle School’s swim team had five top five finishes here at Appling County Middle School’s swim meet.

The Bears’ Jaxon Coates recorded two third-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle (personal-best 1:07.26) and the boys’ 50 breaststroke (37.16 seconds). He finished fifth in the 100 intermediate (personal-best 1:26.6).

Charli Pazsko placed fifth in the girls’ 50 butterfly (39.19). The Lady Bears’ 200 free relay team of Lakota Davis, Emma Sergent, Lily Gray Wright and Paszko also finished fifth (2:18.62).

Setting personal-best marks during the meet were Marlie Ryals in 100 free (1:29.08), Dalilah Beers (1:54.21), and Reed White (1:55.84).

Wright improved her times in both the 100 IM 50 Free. Ryals also cut time in her 100 IM and her 50 free. Paszko improved in the 200 free, while Sergent set a personal-best mark.

In the 50 backstroke, Paszko, Wright and Davis set new marks. Also attaining new personal marks were Natalee Dixon, Erica Coggin, Adaleigh Smart and Annzlee O’Berry.

Pierce Middle swam Monday, December 8 in a meet at the YMCA.
