Memorial Satilla Health recently installed Dr. Jennifer Weaver as its new Chief Nursing Officer. Weaver began her new duties October 6.
“Jen has proven herself as a true nursing champion by helping drive nursing strategies focused on people, service and quality,” said Damon Barrett, CEO. “She has been successful in building solid relationships with clinical staff which has helped to drive culture and overall camaraderie of the nursing teams she leads.”

Weaver comes to Memorial Satilla from HCA Florida Palms West Hospital in Palm Beach County where she served as an assistant CNO for two years. There she reduced nursing turnover to 6.89 percent and boosted both nursing engagement and patient experience scores. She also oversaw a 62 percent reduction in healthcare-associated infections. Weaver joined Palms West after two years as the ACNO of HCA Florida JFK Hospital, providing clinical and operational oversight for a 516 bed facility with an inpatient rehabilitation unit. She holds a doctorate of nursing practice, a master's of science in nursing education and a bachelor of science in nursing. She is also certified in executive nursing practice and (CENP) and is an advance nurse executive. Weaver has worked with Memorial Satilla’s parent company, for 18 years, beginning her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Weaver is relocating to Waycross with her husband, David, and two fur babies, Coco and Ruby.
