VALDOSTA — Mrs. Janice Eloise King Lloyd, 76, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.
She was born in Ware County to the late Buck Thomas King and Eloise Hurst King. She graduated from Ware County High School and was a retired telephone operator with AT&T. She attended Indian Mound Baptist Church in Millwood.
Mrs. Lloyd loved spending time with friends and family, especially cooking for them. She simply loved being social. In her spare time, she enjoyed trips to the beach and going fishing.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Leaborn Lloyd, Sr.; a brother, Tommy King; and a sister, Brenda Lovett.
She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Lloyd (Mike) of Astatula, Fla.; a son, Stephen Ernest Lloyd of Waycross, Leaborn Lloyd, Jr. (Lizzie) of Sanderson, Fla., Arlo Lloyd of Jacksonville, Fla., Cliff Lloyd of Sanderson, Fla., and Martha Crews (Andy) of St. George, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Kelsey Leibfried, Robyn Beckman, Tanner Colley, Cole Lloyd, Miranda Burnett, Ashley Lloyd, and Evelyn Arnold (Chris); seven great grandchildren, Stella Leibfried, Hazel Leibfried, Charlotte Beckman, Griffin Beckman, Waylon Arnold, Peyton Arnold, and Zachary Lloyd; a brother, Kelly King (Regina) of Waresboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held December 9 at Indian Mound Baptist Church. Burial followed at Mt. Green Cemetery.
