WAYCROSS — Ms. Camille Culpepper, age 80, of Waycross, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Hospice House Satilla following an extended illness.

Born in Waycross, she was the daughter of the late W.R. “Cul” Culpepper and Elver Lee. Ms. Culpepper dedic ated much of her career to public service, working as a Deputy with the Ware County Sheriff’s Office and later as Secretary to the Assistant Warden at Ware State Prison.

She is survived by her four children, Carmon Rouse of Waycross, Jason Rouse (Amy) of Waycross, Clint Rouse (Carrie) of Pooler. Ga., and Brent Rouse (Jennifer) of Nevils, Ga. She was a proud grandmother to seven — Bethany, Kayla, Hannah, Hailey, Kelby, Colby, and Blakely — and great grandmother to three — J.B., JoJo, and Westin.

Ms. Culpepper was preceded in death by her brothers Stump, Chip, and Charlie Culpepper. She is also survived by two siblings, Knot Culpepper of Brantley County and Tina Tillman of Waycross. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service was held December 3 at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Kettle Creek Cemetery for family only.
