WARESBORO — Mr. James Robert Johnson, 52, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, at his residence in Waresboro.
Johnson was born in Ware County on July 19, 1973, to Robert Leon Johnson and Myra Douglas Johnson. He was a 1992 graduate of Ware County High School and continued his education at Georgia Southern University.
Johnson worked for many years as a bank auditor with the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance, and he most recently joined his wife in operating the family business, Maryland Fried Chicken.
He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Waycross.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Leon Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Alicia Lee Johnson of Waycross; his mother, Myra Douglas Johnson of Waycross; his brother, Ricky Johnson of Waycross; and his beloved cats, Earl and Elsa.
A private graveside service was held December 9 at Oakland Cemetery.
