WAYCROSS — Mr. Terry Lynn Smith, 63, of Waycross died Saturday morning, December 6, 2025, at the Satilla Hospice House after an extended illness.

Smith was born in Waycross to the late Charles G. Smith and Mamie Marie Mercer Smith, and made Waycross his home for all of his life. H e worked many years as a supervisor for General Box Factory and was an avid University of Georgia football fan. He loved to cut up and aggravate anyone who came around, and had the best smile with the biggest heart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and would lend a helping hand anytime someone was in need. Mr. Smith was a former member of Pine Valley Southern Congregational Methodist Church and a member of Kettle Creek Southern Congregational Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three siblings, Margie Meeks (Jimmy), Kenny Smith, Carl Eugene Smith.

Smith is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Regina Smith of Waycross; six Children, Tiffany Oliver (Eric) of Waycross, Brooke Pittman (Eric), Kylie Knox (Colby), Danzlee Herrin, Terry Arnold, and Kristen Walker, all of Waycross; 11 grandchildren, McKenzie Davis, Layla Pittman, Aiden Pittman, Jayci Wilson, Emilee Boyd, Gauge Knox, Braylee Moon, Brendon Moon, Tristen Musgrove, Sydni Knobles, and Skye Knobles; five siblings, Morris Smith of Blackshear, Vernon Smith (Mable) of Waycross, Kathy Corbitt (Richard) of Waycross, Mary Alice Stephens (late Jimmy) of Louisiana, and Donna O’Berry (Rickey) of Waycross; a lifelong special friend, Ricky Thomas of Waycross; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held at noon today (Wednesday, December 10) in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, 31501.
