Edmond Franklin Jacobs, 84, passed away late Friday night, December 5, 2025, at Baptist Village Retirement Communities in Waycross, following an extended illness.
He was born April 24, 1941, in Hoboken and he was the son of Leon Audrey and Amy Griffin Jacobs. He was a 1959 graduate of Hoboken High School, attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton and the University of Georgia studying Agricultural Engineering. He left the university before completing his degree to assume duties on the family farm which included the growing of tobacco, corn, hay, cattle and egg production. An active member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, he joined in 1979 and made sure his family received the spiritual training that they needed from growth and development. He was ordained a deacon in May, 1984 and taught Sunday school for many years.
Edmond and Susie instilled in their children basic family values: a belief in God, love and respect for family, love of learning and a good work ethic.
