Geneva Sears Aspinwall

Geneva Sears Aspinwall, 98, of Bloomingdale, formerly of Offerman, passed away Wednesday morning, December 3, 2025, at her residence.
Born in Brunswick November 5, 1927, she lived in Offerman most of her life before moving to her daughter’s in Bloomingdale 10 years ago. She was a Patterson High School graduate. She was a homemaker and was deeply devoted to her husband and children.  Over the years, she had helped her husband on the farm and joined him in planting their garden.  She also enjoyed working in the yard and tending to her flowers. She was a longtime member of Offerman Baptist Church and dearly loved her church and pastor.
She was a daughter of the late Calvin Sears and Beulah Cowart Miller.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 70 years, Jack Allen Aspinwall; a sister, Betty Ann and her brother and sister-in-law, Donald “Buck” and Evelyn Sears.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Bill Yawn, Bloomingdale and Heather and Corey Best of St. Augustine, FL; her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Barbara Aspinwall, Meldrim; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon Friday, Dec. 5, at the Offerman Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, Dec. 5, from the Offerman Baptist Church with the Rev. James Lightsey officiating.
Interment will be in Offerman Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Mrs. Shelly and Mrs. Dee with Island Hospice for their love and devotion shown to not only Mrs. Aspinwall, but to her family during her time with hospice.
