SOUTHPORT, N.C. — Evelyn Grace Confer, a beloved and kind-hearted individual, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the age of 95.
Born October 25, 1930, in Muncy, Pa., Mrs. Confer was known for her generous spirit and hone sty throughout her life.
She dedicated her life to being a homemaker, where her nurturing nature and commitment to family shone brightly. Her contributions to her home and community were deeply valued.
In her personal life, Mrs. Confer was an avid quilter. She spent countless hours creating beautiful quilts, a testament to her creativity and patience. Her quilts were not only works of art but also symbols of her love and dedication to her craft.
Mrs. Confer resided in Southport, N.C., for the past three years, and prior to that, for 35 years in Waycross, where she was cherished by those who knew her. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the lasting impact she made on the lives she touched.
Mrs. Confer was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Confer; a son, Dana Confer; and a brother, Thomas Herr.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Confer (wife Susan); three grandchildren, Jennifer Card, Monica Edmundson, and Jamie Confer; seven great grandchildren; three siblings, George Sterling Herr, Jr., Joanne Kincaid, and Roger Herr.
