The Okefenokee Lions Club started off the month of December with a great event. The local chapter of the Lions Club held a Christmas event giving gifts to 52 local children. The event included a surprise visit from Santa, who took a break from his North Pole compound. Santa had a quick visit before hurrying back to finish getting ready for Christmas. This was a great joy just to see the children smile and getting hugs and high fives from them. Anyone interested in joining the Lions Club is welcome to visit with us.
