Family development credential

Edurne Clough (center) of the Ware County Head Start/Early Head Start Center, has successfully completed the Family Development Credentialing (FDC) Program. The FDC is one of the most impressive family support training programs in the nation, currently training more than 12,000 frontline workers across the country in 46 states. To earn the FDC certification, participants take 80 class hours based on Empowerment Skills for Family Workers, complete a portfolio documenting their ability to apply these concepts and skills, and pass a standardized exam. “We’re all very proud for Edurne Clough for going above and beyond to earn the FDC credential,” Head Start Director Angela Carr said. “She’s a prime example of the wonderful staff we have. She continues to strive for excellence.” Flanking Clough are (left) Carol Clarke, Training/ Literacy Specialist and Alaycia Staten, Center Coordinator.
