WAYCROSS — Ms. Camille Culpepper, 80, of Waycross, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Hospice House Satilla following an extended illness.
Born in Waycross, Ms. Culpepper was the daughter of the late W.R. “Cul” Culpepper and Elver Lee. She dedicated much of her career to public service, working as a deputy with the Ware County Sheriff’s Office and later as secretary to the assistant warden at Ware State Prison.
Ms. Culpepper was preceded in death by her brothers Stump, Chip, and Charlie Culpepper.
She is survived by her four children, Carmon Rouse of Waycross, Jason Rouse (Amy) of Waycross, Clint Rouse (Carrie) of Pooler and Brent Rouse (Jennifer) of Nevils, Ga.. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren, Bethany, Kayla, Hannah, Hailey, Kelby, Colby and Blakely; three greatgrandchildren, J.B., JoJo and Westin. She is also survived by two siblings, Knot Culpepper of Brantley County and Tina Tillman of Waycross; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held today (Wednesday, December 3, 2025) at 3 p.m., at Music Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m.
Burial will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery for family only.
