WAYNESVILLE — Jerry “Joe” Jacobs, 72 of Waynesville, passed away November 26, 2025, at Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Jacobs was an amazing man with a big heart and will be missed dearly. He retired from Glynn County Public Works and loved fishing and Jacobs
hunting.
Jacobs was born August 24, 1953 in Brunswick to Jessie Jacobs and Ursula Toole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy; brothers, Lenard, Wayne and Jessie Jacobs; and a sister, Linda Johnson.
Jacobs is survived by his daughter, Heather Bucciantini; sons, C.J. and Zack Deans; a sister, Donna; and a brother, Pete; three grandchildren, Jerry, Paige and Brandon, five great grandchildre;, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A service to celebrate Jacobs’ life will be held at a later date.
Chapman Funeral Chapel & Crematory of Brunswick was in charge of arrangements.
