Scenes from a Head Start Halloween

With the recently ended government shutdown understandably making these pictures a little late, but it is always a treat to see the Pierce County Head Start Center staff dressed up for the children. From “Pete the Cat” to Pooh and the gang to a piñata, the staff had a great time surprising the children with their costumes.

“I really appreciate the staff going all out,” stated Kristy Knowlton. “I don’t know who had more fun, the children or the staff.” The center is proudly administered by action pact, a local community action agency. For information on enrollment opportunities, please contact the family advocate office at (912) 449-0004.

Dana Speed, Dorcas Freeman and Sunny Dixon got the inspiration for their piñata, Pete the Cat and pumpkin costumes from books familiar to the young students at the Pierce County Head Start.
Marie Strickland and Tanya Roberson completed the theme as Eeyore and Piglet.
Zoe Herrington and Michelle Beck went as best pals Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.
Kristy Knowlton got pretty in pink as a real life Barbie doll for the local Head Start’s Halloween.
