The Waycross Journal-Herald’s Empty Stocking Fund Christmas tradition stands at $325 after receiving two donations last week.
Donations were for:
• $100, anonymous;
• $25, June L. Glisson. The annual fundraiser collected more than $8,624 last year. Since 1984, the newspaper’s effort had totaled $323,099.64 through 2024.
Since 2019 under Head Publishing, LLC., the Empty Stocking Fund collected and distributed $55,421.50 through 2024.
Contributions will be accepted through the month of December. Donations to the fund may be delivered from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., weekdays to the Journal-Herald office at 311 Carswell Avenue or mailed to:
