CANEY BAY — Brantley County opened up its 2025-26 home schedule Tuesday recording a sweep of visiting Charlton County.
The Lady Herons (2-0) notched a 65-41 victory in the opener over the Indian Maidens (0-1), who were playing their season opener.
The Herons (1-1) rallied in the second half over the mistakeprone Indians (0-2) to pick up a 37-32 victory.
Brantley County hosted Atkinson County Tuesday, November 25 in the only game of the week. BCHS travels Tuesday, December 2 to face Appling County and plays host to Wayne County Thursday, December 4.

BCHS outscored the Indian Maidens in every quarter en route to the victory.
The Lady Herons doubled up Charlton County 14-7 over the first eight minutes. They widened the margin to double digits by intermission with a 2213 run in the second stanza for a 36-20 halftime lead.
BCHS used a second 14-7 scoring advantge during the third period extending the margin to 50-27. The Lady Herons clipped the visitors 15-14 over the final eight minutes.
The Lady Herons had a trio of double-figure scorers. Ella Highsmith (eight rebouds, assist) and Tamiyah Coley (four rebounds, assist, steal) tied for team-high honors with 12 points apiece.
Abbie Lee (four assists, two steals) recorded her third consecutive double-double finishing with 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
Julie Carter (three rebounds, two assists) followed with eight points. Brodie Allen (four rebounds, steal) netted six points. Mia Kate Bates (rebound) and Chloe Jones (two rebounds, steal) added five points apiece.
Eddie Lowther (five rebounds) bagged three points. Grace Carver (three rebounds) and Rachel Kennedy (rebound) contributed two points and one point respectively.
Christiona Farmer paced Charlton County with a gamehigh 20 points including three treys.

The Herons overcame a 20-13 halftime deficit doubling up Charlton County 24-12 in the second half from the comefrom- behind win.
BCHS led just 8-7 after a coldshooting first quarter. The Indians used a 13-5 scoring advantage in the second period to take a seven-point lead into the lockerroom.
The Herons matched their first-half production in the third quarter outscoring Charlton County 13-5 to lead 26-25 through three quarters. Brantley County held off the Indians 11-7 in the final stanza.
Jakob Thigpen and Jaden Jenkins topped Charlton County scoring seven points apiece. The Indians committed 25 turnovers.
