WAYCROSS — Pierce County Middle School’s 6th-7th grade Bears fell 47-26 here Monday at Waycross Middle School.
The Bulldogs outscored PCMS in all but one quarter, racing out to a 16-4 first period advantage. Each team scored 10 points in the second stanza with Waycross Middle taking a 26-14 halftime lead.
The Bears were doubled up in the third period by the home team, being outscored 12-6 to fall into a 38-20 hole. Waycross Middle closed the game outpoint PCMS 9-6.
Demarcus Bradwell paced the Bears with nine points. Hudson Zauner and Ashton Vickers followed with four points each.
Gunner Howell netted three points while Drew Stipe, Briggs Sweat and Wake Ivey each contributed two points.
Tysun Thomas and Kam Faulk led the Bulldogs’ 23member team with 12 and 11 points respectively.
