PCMS swimmers second at home meet

WAYCROSS — Pierce County Middle School’s swimming program finished second here Monday at the YMCA in a home meet.

There was no information to who won nor how many teams competed in the November 17 event.

The Bears’ Jaxson Coates posted two first-place individual wins the 50-yard breaststroke (37.99 seconds) and the 25 freestyle event (12.66 sec.).

The 200 freestyle relay team (2:21.12) of Eli Thorne, Jeremiah Henderson, Dow Walker and Coates were third. Henderson was also third in the 25 free (14.34 sec.).

The Lady Bears logged three third-place finishes. The medley relay team (2:41.73) of Emma Sergent, Lily Gray Wright, Lakota Davis and Charli Paszko, the 200 free relay team (2:25.07) of Lakota Davis, Wright, Paszko and Sergent, and Wright in the 25 free (14.69 sec.) all finished third.

Placing fourth were Sergent in the 200 intermediate (3:27.28) and 25 free (15.19 sec.), Paszko in the 50 fly (39.38 sec.) and 200 free (2:59.19), Wright in the 50 Free (33.78 sec.), and Erica Coggin in the 50 breaststroke (47.91 sec.).

Finishing fifth were Wright in the 200 intermediate (3:45.85) and 50 breaststroke (48.59 sec.), Davis in the 50 fly (40.2 sec.), Sergent in the 50 free (34.06 sec.), Paszko in the 25 free (15.25 sec.), and the 200 free relay team (2:38.5) of Katie Thompson, Gwen Merck and Ryleigh Taylor and Coggin.
