Gates Church, Dairy Queen hold toy drive 

Faith City Church in cooperation with the Gates Church of Blackshear, also known as “The Gathering Place” is conducting a Christmas toy drive November 1 - December 15.

The public is invited to help give a child a merry Christmas by dropping off a new, unwrapped gift at the Dairy Queen in Blackshear.

United Market staff sponsor Angel Tree 

United Market is sponsoring an Angel Tree for the children of Pierce County. If you have a child or if you know of a child in need of Christmas presents please stop by the store from now until November 30 to put their name on the tree.

If you would like to sponsor a child please stop by and get the info off an Angel. If you would like to donate a gift there will also be a drop box for available. With every new unwrapped item you donate to the box an entry will be placed into a drawing for a gift card.

Gifts should be brought to the store no later than December 11. This is an employee sponsored event, so any items donated are gratefully appreciated.

Everything will be given to the families by December 22. The United Market staff want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Magnolia House holding toy drive

In partnership with Pierce County Veterans, Inc., Magnolia House is conducting a holiday toy drive.

New unwrapped toys for ages 0-18 are being accepted from now until December 12. If you would like to donate, please drop off toys 49pm Monday through Saturday at 3775 US-84 in Blackshear.
