Magnolia House toy drive underway
In partnership with Pierce County Veterans, Inc., Magnolia House is conducting a holiday toy drive.
New unwrapped toys for ages 0-18 are being accepted from now until December 12. If you would like to donate, please drop off toys 4-9pm Monday through Saturday at 3775 US-84 in Blackshear.

Memorial Satilla blood drive set for Dec. 12
Memorial Satilla will hold a Blood Drive 9 am - 2 pm Friday, December 12 on their main campus, 1900 Tebeau Street in Waycross.
Donors are encouraged to make an appointment to ensure the drive is sufficiently staffed and all donor slots are filled.
The Blood Connection (TBC) is currently facilitating Memorial Satilla’s drives. To schedule an appointment, visit thebloodconnection. org and use sponsor code 9391.
TBC is offering $40 in rewards to donors. The Hospital Auxiliary will give one lucky donor $100 and two donors will win a $500 grand donor prize. Volunteers will also serve homemade goodies and snacks.
SGRC Council meeting, Nov. 20
A meeting of the Southern Georgia Regional Commission Council is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, November 20. The meeting will be held at the SGRC Waycross Office, 1725 South GA Parkway W., Waycross.
An executive committee meeting will be held prior to the regular meeting at 10 a.m. Both meetings are open to the public.
Adult education classes in Patterson
Adult education classes are back in session in Pierce County.
Classes are held at Eagle Station, 3507 Williams Street, Patterson.
Brenée Wright is the adjunct instructor of Adult Education in Pierce County.
Classes are offered through Coastal Pines Technical College.
Class schedules are from 3:30-8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday and from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
