FCA Giving Tuesday set for Dec. 2

Black Friday is well known and more recently Cyber Monday has become a familiar event, but have you ever heard of Giving Tuesday?

Okefenokee Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) has launched a campaign to utilize #GivingTuesday to raise funds to provide a personalized FCA Bible to every senior athlete in Bacon, Brantley, Pierce, and Ware counties. The cost to reach this goal is approximately $6,000. The Okefenokee FCA asks those interested to “please consider supporting our efforts to put the Word of God in the hands of our senior athletes.”

Giving Tuesday was originally created in 2012 as a day to encourage people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement which inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.

Gifts can be given online by visiting http://www.okefca.org/donate and clicking on Bible Fund. Checks made payable to FCA can be sent by mail to Okefenokee FCA 3319 Katie Drive Blackshear, GA, 31516. For more information, contact Okefenokee FCA Director Toby Crews at 912-281-9510 or email [email protected].
