ATC Broadband’s Blackshear office will be permanently closing effective December 31, 2025.
The Blackshear office is located in Suite 102 at 3349 U.S. Highway 84.
The local office and one in Baxley will be permanently closed at the end of the year.
ATC Broadband’s marketing director said the company is solid and here to stay, but she said increased online payment and self-service options have made it necessary to consolidate offices.
“At one time, we had over 1,000 customers per month utilizing our Blackshear office,” she said. “That number has dwindled to about 200 per month. It just doesn’t make sense financially to keep the office open.”
Taylor said customer in person visits at the Blackshear office saw a significant decline following COVID19 and the increased use of online and self-service payment options.
The two employees at the Blackshear office will be transferred elsewhere within the ATC Broadband company.
Taylor said customers are encouraged to use ATC Broadband’s online payment and self-service payment options or visit the Alma office at 405 W. 11th Street, Alma, GA 31510.
