Lady Bears win first ever state Georgia Rec and Park Association tournament
JEFFERSON — Pierce County’s 8-under girls’ volleyball all-star team captured the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association’s first-ever state tournament beating host Jackson County last Saturday night. Pierce County advanced through the bracket with wins over Oglethorpe County (25-6) and Jackson County (25-13) to reach the finals. Pierce County downed the host 25-17 and 25-13 in the finals.
