WAYCROSS — Mr. Arnold Wade Capps, 76, of Waycross, died Monday afternoon, November 10, 2025, at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born in Ware County to the late Morris Capps, Sr., and Vonice Strickland Capps. Capps was a 1967 graduate of Ware County High School. He worked for the Coca-Cola Company, Borden Dairy and ScotBilt Homes. He was a member of Cornerstone Church of God. Capps loved spending time riding his motorcycle.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Phillips Capps.
He is survived by two brothers, Morris Capps, Jr., and his wife, Charlotte, and Jerome Capps and his wife, Margaret, all of Waycross; one sister, Gloria Douglas and her husband, Keith, of Waycross; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service was held November 12 in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery.
