Special to the WJH
The Night to Shine organization in Waycross has partnered with Friendly Express and Lewis & Raulerson to stage the “Shine Out Loud” benefit music festival Saturday, November 21 at The Okefenokee Fairgrounds, 2401 Knight Avenue.
The entertainment will be from 5 to 9 p.m. with eight local artists and bands planned for a musical evening of community, praise and worship. Gates open at 4 p.m.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the show. Advance tickets are available at Eagle Nutrition, Ellianos, Gator Nutrition, Lewis & Raulerson, Sanders Honey Company, or Southern Sippin’.
In addition to the music, there will be a Kid’s Zone with bounce houses, face painting, Camp Rocks, and local vendors to check out.
All proceeds from the festival go Night to Shine Waycross, a prom-style event celebrating individuals with special needs and disabilities ages 14-up.
This will be the fourth year for the local Night to Shine. It will be held February 13 in the MAC (Ministry Activity Center) at First Baptist Church in Blackshear, 670 Main Street.
Night to Shine events are sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. To volunteer with the organization or register a guest for the February 13 celebration, visit http://www.nighttoshinewaycross.com.
