Lee Bazemore (center) of the Pierce County Road Department was named county employee of the month for November. Bazemore is shown with Former Public Safety Director Blake James (left) and Public Works Superintendent Bruce Carter (right). Carter and James praised Bazemore for his work in scheduling road maintenance for the county and for his work in documenting expenses incurred during Hurricane Helene last year. James specifically noted that Bazemore’s work has been instrumental in the county receiving reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. County Manager Raphel Maddox and First District Commissioner Troy Mattox said Bazemore’s daily road work schedule is very important with helping them know where road work is being performed and helps them inform the public.
