At the Gathering of Warriors (GOW) Fellowship-Blackshear Southeast Georgia Region earlier this month the Fourth Annual Community Coalition “Honors” celebrated several outstanding organizations and businesses that faithfully serve local communities and their residents.
The GOW Fellowship International Board of Directors saluted the following honorees: ▪ The late Prophetess Betty Gibson who launched Gathering of Warriors Fellowship Blackshear, served as Regional Director and hosted the first conference in 2021. Gibson was an entrepreneur, activist and hosted many community outreach initiatives.
▪ Niki Spivey, Director of DC Downtown (Destination Church) Food Pantry, ▪ Elder Jason Deal of Comfort Chapel for his work with The Blackshear
Times and in the community.
▪ Elder Fernando Arroyo, pastor of Piney Grove Baptist Church of Blackshear. Arroyo serves on the board of No Male Left Behind Community Outreach, ▪ Ashley Elwell, Operations Director of Abide Homecare Services of Blackshear. ▪ Amy Johnson, Community Laundry Room. ▪ Minister Shawn Taylor, Community Activist and Love Feeds CEO. “Thank you for your faithful service to our community,” said Dr. Deborah Brown on behalf of the GOW Fellowship.
